Girl Up is a United Nations Foundation movement of empowered young women leaders who defend gender equality around the globe. Quilts for Kids sponsors the Kathmandu branch of GirlUp to ensure that the young women in our community have the support they need, in and out of the classroom. 

Many women in our community have limited or no access to health care, including OBGYN and prenatal care. Quilts for Kids hosts regular health clinics specifically focused on women's health issues. 

We work with powerful women around the world to teach the young women in our community how to advocate for their own future. Recently, Q4K hosted  Merel van der Wouden, a Dutch negotiation strategy coach, who brought insight & inspiration to our girls.
